Job Shadowing Experience
For the job shadowing project i went to SAS Institute, a company that makes statistical and analytic software for businesses and is the largest privately owned business software making company in the world. At SAS they have a project called JMP which is the best statistical software on the market (http://www.jmp.com/en_us/home.html). JMP is used to create graphs and charts and other ways to represent data and is also used to generate a matrix of experiments to solve or improve a problem. I met 6 people who worked on the JMP project all who did a separate but important thing for the software. The first person i met was Thomas Pederson Ph. D who wrote the instruction manual for JMP and would create the help sections in the JMP software. In the instructions he added many links which would redirect the user to another part of the help section and would also redirect you to a picture and he tried to keep the help as general but also as specific as possible. The second person i met was John Jones, the online marketing manager, who was the person who sold the product online and would advertise the product/software. John Jones said that many online marketers would a Content Managing System which allows authors to publish their content to the web in which he used a content managing system called Adobe Experience Manager.
